Reekado Banks as just released the most shocking but maybe long expected news through his social media pages.
Reekado just few minutes ago announced that he has left Mavin records after spending 5 years in the Don Jazzy owned record label.
Mavin signed Reekado Banks in the year 2013 alongside Korede Bello and Aphro Dija, and since then he has gone on to establish himself as a music superstar in the Nigerian music industry.
The Headies 2015 Next rated winner penned an emotional message to Don Jazzy, thanking him for the huge impact he’s had in his life and as well appreciating his efforts in making him who he is today.
The “Catapult” singer writes’ “Today i write in tears, not from a place of pain but of joy and gratitude. A place of bliss and satisfaction because i am more than contented with how far this opportunity has brought me. The list five years have been the most blissful of my career. The journey has been extremely wonderful and filled with the best experiences. I’ve learnt that family is not just by blood ties but about the love, sacrifices and friendship that exist amongst its members.”

Misi Molu reacted to the posts Tiwa Savage used to insinuate that she (Misi Molu) had earlier begged her (Tiwa Savage) for money via social media before airing her views about her talent. Tiwa Savage wrote, “Wow! They beg you for money today and talk trash tomorrow because it’s not personal; they’re just doing their job, abi?”
In another post, Tiwa stated, “Celebrities are human o. You can’t beg for money then talk trash and expect me to not catch feelings. Like, are you serious? Next time you think of sliding in my DM asking for money or anything; remember your personal opinion and miss me with your BS.”
Misi Molu reacted to these posts during an interview with Sunday Scoop. The radio personality tasked Tiwa Savage to provide proof that she begged her for money, she said, “Personally, I don’t believe she was talking about me. But if she is, she needs to show evidence to that fact. The situation has been blown way out of proportion than what the intentions of the discussion were actually meant to be. People are giving it way too much credence.”

The singer edged out the likes of UK act, Stormzy, Tiwa Savage and Cassper Nyovest to claim the award. Davido made history with the award as he became the first African to climb the BET main stage to receive the award for Best International act.
Since BET created the category in 2011, the award was handed to the winners at the back stage. This sparked some sort of revolution led by the likes of Wizkid, Fuse OG and Yemi Alade who dissociated themselves from the award, complaining that the back stage treatment reeks of disrespect to African artistes.
Earlier this year, the organizers of the award announced a change in the manner of awarding the winners of the category. The organizers announced that the recipient of the BET Best International Act Award would now climb the main stage and yesterday night, Davido became the first winner of the award to do that.
